The 1D coordination polymer, [Cu2(μ2OH)2(DABA)2]n (1), (HDABA = 4-Diallylamino-benzoic acid) is characterized by Single crystal X-Ray diffraction analysis. structure switches to a 2D geometry hydrogen bonding interactions. Hand grinding aqueous suspension of the 1, present in nano regime av. 100 nm dimension and shows catalytic performance reduction toxic nitrophenols corresponding aminophenols NaBH4. rate constant values (κapp) are 2.4 × 10−3 (4-NP), 5.3 (2,4-DNP) 5.6 (2,4,6-TNP) s − 1 much higher than only susceptibility measurements (χMT) Cu(II) polymer indicates presence very weak antiferromagnetic coupling between metal centres. hand technique reusability makes approach chemically green, cost effective attracts attention towards real-life application.
